KC woman injured in Benton County crash

Destiny L. Bradburn, 21, of Kansas City, suffered moderate injuries at 11:10 a.m. Friday, June 14 in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bradburn was driving a 2005 Ford Focus north on Route 7 across the center of the roadway when she became distracted and struck the side of a 2019 Jeep Compass driven south by John D. Skolnik, 37, of Washington, D.C.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Bradburn was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Warsaw man killed in Benton County accident

Homer D. May, 90, of Warsaw, was killed at 4:22 p.m. Friday, June 14 in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Sarah J. Gilbert, 18, was driving a 2006 Pontiac G6 north on U.S. Highway 65 at Route BB and pulled into the path of May's westbound 2017 Ford Fusion.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. May was transported by Life Flight to Bothwell Regional health Center and was pronounced dead by Dr. Trevor Beckham.

Warsaw woman hurt in Benton County accident

Zerra R. Renpfer, 19, of Warsaw, suffered minor injuries at 4:55 p.m. Friday, June 14 in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when Charles A. Rehm, 67, of Warsaw, was driving a 2015 Ford F-150 north on U.S. Highway 65 and slowed to make a right turn onto a private drive. His towed unit was struck by a northbound 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Elizabeth I. White, 34, of Warsaw.

All involved were wearing seat belts. Renpfer was transported by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

St. Clair man killed in Benton County accident

Dexter A. Moore, 36, of St. Clair, was killed at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, June 15 in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Moore was driving a 2024 Nissan Rogue north on Round House Avenue when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Benton County Corner Weston Miller.

Three injured in Henry County accident

Riley S. McCaffrey, 24, of Fair Play, and Perry E. Nix, 28, of Carthage, suffered minor injuries and Maesea P. Garoutte, 26, of Fair Play, suffered moderate injuries at 7:23 p.m. Saturday, June 15 in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dong V. Nguyen, 51, of Olathe, Kansas, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry south on Route 7 when he swerved to the right to avoid striking a deer. As the deer struck the vehicle, it crossed into the right lane and sideswiped a southbound 2000 Dodge Ram driven by McCaffrey. The Ram was forced off the road, traveled down an embankment, and struck a fence and a dirt embankment.

Only Nguyen was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported by Golden Valley ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.

Belton man hurt in motorcycle accident

Joseph E. Bennett, 57, of Belton, suffered minor injuries at 2:21 p.m. Saturday, June 15 in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bennett was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson Sportster north on Route 23 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and dismounted before the vehicle struck a fence.

He was wearing a helmet and was transported by private vehicle to Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville.

Platte City woman hurt in Morgan County accident

Michelle D. Carpenter, 55, of Platte City, suffered minor injuries at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 15 in a Morgan County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Carpenter was driving a 2024 Nissan Altima east on Route 52 when a deer traveled into the roadway and was struck.

Carpenter was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Mid-Mo Ambulance District to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

Sedalia man injured in motorcycle accident

Kevin N. Mantonya, 37, of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries at 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mantonya was driving a 2015 Yamaha south on Route MM, north of U.S. Highway 50. When he turned, he struck a northbound 2002 Honda Civic driven by Colleen J. Nichols, 37, of Sedalia.

Mantonya was wearing a helmet and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.
