Two hurt in Benton County motorcycle accident

A 12-year-old girl from Sedalia suffered minor injuries and Eugene A. Edwards, 36, of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries at 3:17 p.m. Monday, June 17 in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Edwards was driving a 1997 Harley-Davidson north on Route H at Spring Lake Drive when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and traveled off the roadway, ejecting both driver and passenger.

They were both wearing helmets and were transported by Cole Camp Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Clinton man injured in Henry County crash

Brett F. Murphy, 57, Clinton, suffered moderate injuries at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 in a Henry County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Murphy was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma east on Route 13 when he crossed the southbound lanes of Route 13 from Business 52 and failed to yield to a southbound 2018 Ford Edge driven by Sara L. Fellhoelter, 57, of Deepwater. After impact, both vehicles traveled off the east side of Route 13 and came to rest in the median with the Sequoia resting on its side.

Murphy was not wearing a seat belt but Fellhoelter was. Murphy was transported to Cox South in Springfield by Life Flight Eagle.

8-year-old pedestrian struck in Sedalia

An 8-year-old boy from Sedalia suffered moderate injuries at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Charlotte A. Reusch, 76, of Sedalia, was driving a 2017 Dodge Journey southbound on Kentucky Avenue south of 36th Street. An 8-year-old boy entered the path of the vehicle on a wagon, causing the vehicle to strike the pedestrian and wagon.

The child was flown to University Hospital in Columbia by MU Air Medical Services.
