Two from Lincoln injured in Pettis County collision

Pamela J. Swearingen, 63, and Richard Swearingen, 80, both of Lincoln, sustained moderate injuries at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1 in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Alexander A. Timoshchuk, 23, of Ionia, was driving a 2015 GMC Duramax west on U.S. Highway 65 at Whiteman Road and failed to yield to a southbound 2024 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Pamela Swearingen south. Timoshchuk struck Swearingen’s vehicle on the right side.

Everyone was wearing seat belts. The Swearingens were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Pettis County Ambulance District.

Sedalia man seriously injured in US 50 crash

Nathan E. Seifner, 23, of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries at 1:33 a.m. Sunday in a Pettis County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Seifner was driving a 1997 Dodge truck east on U.S. Highway 50, just west of 12th Street, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Seifner was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to University Hospital in Columbia by MU Air ambulance.
