Richard J. Atchison, 65, of Warsaw, suffered minor injuries at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Benton County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Atchison was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger south on Route 7 when he swerved to avoid an unidentified vehicle that pulled into his path. He traveled off the right side of the roadway and his vehicle overturned.
Atchison was wearing a seat belt and was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.
Emily D. Denny, 29, and Isaac E. Denny, 25, both of Independence, suffered minor injuries at 5:34 p.m. Wednesday in a Johnson County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jeffrey A. Thorell, 39, of Holden, was driving a 2009 Nissan north on Route 131 when he crossed over the centerline and struck Isaac Danny’s southbound 2017 Subaru.
Everyone was wearing seat belts. Emily and Isaac were transported by private vehicle to Lee's Summit Medical Center.
Thorell was arrested for felony leaving the scene of an accident causing injury, driving with a revoked license - third or subsequent offense, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance - second offense, driving while intoxicated - persistent offender, felony resisting arrest, a registration violation and an equipment violation. He was transported to the Johnson County Jail and released.
