Arrests

July 5

10:06 p.m.: Lawrence A. Westerfield, 26, of the 1300 block of East Fourth Street was arrested after officers were dispatched to the police department lobby in reference to an ongoing forgery investigation. Westerfield was identified and transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending State charges of stealing/embezzlement and forgery.

July 18

8:57 p.m.: Michael Connell Douglas Jr, 30, of the 300 block of East Fourth Street was arrested after an officer responded to a disturbance near the intersection of East 10th Street and South Ingram Avenue with reported weapons. Upon arrival it was reported that one of the subjects rammed a vehicle into another vehicle. That subject was arrested on scene and taken to the Pettis County Jail, booked and held for 24 hours pending charges of second degree assault - vehicular injury.

11:55 p.m.: Daniel Sheremeta, 20, of the 3600 block of Highway M was arrested after officers responded to the 100 block of South Lamine Avenue for trespassing. Officers located Sheremeta and during the investigation he was arrested for minor in possession and possession of alcohol in the park. He was booked and released.

July 19

12:36 a.m.: Dwight Albert Trester II, 62, of the 400 block of West Sixth Street was arrested after an officer responded to a subject at Walmart lying near the doors after the store was closed. Trester was trespassed from the property previously and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and held for 24 hours pending a charge of first degree trespass.

Incidents

July 17

10:15 a.m.: An officer responded to the 1200 block of East Third Street for a report of found property. A man reported he had found a plastic bag that contained what is believed to be a controlled substance. The item was transported to the Sedalia Police Department where it was submitted into evidence for destruction.

2:45 p.m.: Officers responded to the Sedalia Police Department lobby for a report of harassment. A general information report was created.

10:32 p.m.: Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim said her ex-boyfriend came over and started causing property damage and some injuries. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. He has been identified and state charges have been requested.

July 18

2:55 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to National TV Sales and Rental, 1400 South Limit Avenue, for a report of theft of rental property. They gathered pertinent information from the complainant and a report was completed.

6:41 p.m.: An officer was dispatched in reference to a theft that occurred in the 1400 block of Liberty Park Boulevard. The caller said he had $500 worth of tools stolen from his vehicle. No arrests have been made.

July 18

8:32 a.m.: Shane B. Kroske, 33, of Warsaw was arrested in Benton CountyFor driving while revoked, failure to comply with ignition interlock and two misdemeanor Pettis County warrants. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.

7:28 p.m.: Rodney D. Frey, 70, of Gravois Mills was arrested in Morgan County for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving a crash, failure to comply with ignition interlock device, driving while suspended or revoked, and felony driving while intoxicated - aggravated offender. He was released for medical treatment.
