Arrests

Sept. 26

12:43 a.m.: Aurelio Rubio Nicholas, 40, of the 1600 block of South Missouri Avenue was arrested after a vehicle stop near South Limit Avenue and West 32nd Street for a lane violation. The driver had a suspended driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was issued a uniform traffic fine.

Sept. 27

1:37 a.m.: Destinee Lachey Sparks, 20, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle for not displaying front registration plates near East Ninth Street and South Montgomery Avenue. There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Sparks was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of DWI.

11:09 p.m.: Tylor Daniel Joseph Sayers, 28, of the 1500 block of Crestview Drive was arrested after a traffic stop for expired registration plates near West Fourth Street and South Missouri Avenue. The order of burnt marijuana was coming from the vehicle and it was determined Sayers was intoxicated. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of DWI.

Oct. 1

8:22 p.m.: Samuel Negrette, 26, of Kansas City was arrested after an officer was dispatched to North Harding Avenue and East Harvey Street for a single vehicle crash. It was discovered the crash occurred following an assault and investigation showed the driver was the suspect in the assault. Negrette was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of third-degree assault, armed criminal action and first-degree trespassing.

Incidents

Oct. 1

8:40 a.m.: Officers took a report of fraud in the lobby of the Sedalia police department. The reporting party from the 1100 block of East 11th Street said someone charged $1,835.82 to his bank account without permission.

7:06 p.m.: An officer responded to the Diamond B Mini Storage, 900 Normandy Rd, in reference to a burglary of a storage unit at the facility. The victim reported sometime over the last year items had been taken from the storage unit. There are no suspects.

8:37 p.m.: Officers responded to South Limit Avenue and West 32nd Street in reference to a hit and run accident. The victim stated he was sideswiped while at a stoplight and the other vehicle fled the scene without stopping or providing any information. The investigation is ongoing.

8:59 p.m.: Officers assisted an out-of-state agency with a death notification to an aviation related crash.

Arrests

Oct. 1

4:27 p.m.: Karon D. Nabors, 20, of Illinois was arrested in Pettis County for being a fugitive from out of state. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

4:27 p.m.: Raven S. Johnson, 23, of Sedalia was arrested in Pettis County for being a fugitive from out of state and a misdemeanor Audrain County warrant. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

10:05 p.m.: Jacob C. McSherry, 34, of Texas was arrested in Johnson County for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a lane. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and released.
