This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
3:29 p.m.: Jonathan M. Rosty, 35, of Blue Springs, was arrested for shoplifting after officers responded to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard for a man shoplifting on multiple occasions. He received a citation for shoplifting and was trespassed from the property.
4:13 p.m.: Lindsay E. Sloma, 29, of La Monte, was arrested after an officer was dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a shoplifter. Sloma was identified and released with a city summons for shoplifting.
7:36 p.m.: Edwyn Rehmer, 20, of Cole Camp, was arrested after a traffic stop on a vehicle not displaying registration near South Grand Avenue and West Seventh Street. Rehmer had a suspended license and was transported to the SPD, where he was issued a uniform traffic ticket and released.
7:52 p.m.: Carly Rae Helms, 31, of the 200 block of South State Fair Boulevard, was arrested after officers were dispatched regarding a domestic disturbance. It was determined a physical altercation had occurred and when officers tried to arrest the suspect, Helms resisted. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and felony resisting arrest.
6:30 p.m.: Officers took a report in the SPD lobby regarding possible harassment in the 3000 block of Clinton Road. Information was gathered for a report.
3:52 p.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report at a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard. City charges of shoplifting have been submitted against the suspect.
10:16 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue for a fraud/theft report. A subject came into the store and passed off two counterfeit $100 bills when making a purchase.
6:47 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to do the 800 block of La Grande Drive reporting regarding a possible harassment. They spoke with the reporting party and gathered information for a report.
7:52 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 1600 block of South Limit Avenue for a disturbance. The suspect that started the disturbance was issued at trespass warning.
4:36 p.m.: Colleen J. Nichols, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated - alcohol - physical injury, a lane violation and no insurance. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
