This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

June 13

1:15 p.m.: Roul Agustio, 28, of the 1300 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue for a physical disturbance in progress. They arrived on scene, gathered information, identified the parties involved and determined a domestic assault had occurred. Charges of a third-degree felony assault were forwarded to the prosecutor.

9:21 p.m.: Ricardo Rios, 22, of the 200 block of East Second Street, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop on a car observed failing to maintain a lane with expired plates in the 2600 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Rios was intoxicated by drugs and when Roman Rios, 25, same address, showed up, both were transported to the Pettis County Jail and released pending charges of unlawful possession of an illegal weapon. Roman Rios was also arrested for driving while intoxicated-drugs.

June 14

7:12 p.m.: Joshua Lee Miller, 39, of the 3000 block of Oakbrook Drive, was arrested after a traffic stop for not signaling near East Fifth Street and South Montgomery Avenue. It was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status and he was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of driving with a revoked license.

11:22 p.m.: Autumn R. Christoff, 43, of the 24000 block of Vanatta Road, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operating without lights near West Broadway Boulevard and Ruth Ann Drive. It was determined Christoff was intoxicated and she was transported to Bothwell for a blood draw then the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released. A request for a charge of driving while intoxicated-prior offender has been submitted to the prosecutor.

June 15

1:56 a.m.: Jessica Nicole Kennedy, 37, of the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after being observed walking in the area of East Sixth Street and South Hancock Avenue. Kennedy had active felony warrants out of Pettis County for robbery and armed criminal action. She was taken into custody without incident. She was arrested for felony drug possession (opium and cocaine), delivering prohibited items into a correctional facility, possession of drug paraphernalia and the warrants.

9:41 p.m.: Sharleen E. Inek, 21, of the 1500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after officers conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of West Broadway Boulevard for no driver’s side taillight. She had no driver's license and was released on scene with a city summons.

9:56 p.m.: Joshua McClendon, 47, of Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop for expired registration in the 3700 block of West Broadway Boulevard. He had a suspended license out of Oklahoma and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving with a suspended license.

11:29 p.m.: Caesar Quetzequa Chavez, 29, of the 400 block of West 16th Street, was arrested after a traffic stop near West Fifth Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. The driver was intoxicated and he was transported to the SPD for a breath sample, then the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for driving while intoxicated-alcohol and driving with a suspended license.

June 16

1:54 a.m.: Braden P. Mauritzi, 24, of the 22000 block of Sacajawea Road, was arrested after a traffic stop. The driver was intoxicated by marijuana and alcohol and was transported to the SPD and then to Bothwell for a blood draw. He was then transported to Pettis County Jail, booked and released for driving while intoxicated-prior offender.

June 17

2:54 a.m.: John W. Sant Sr., 43, of Smithton, was arrested after a traffic stop on a motorcycle that drove through multiple stop signs at South Porter Avenue and East 12th Street. He had a suspended driving status and was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released for driving with a suspended license.

Incidents

June 11

5:23 p.m.: Officers spoke with a victim in SPD the lobby who wanted to report destruction of property May 14 in the 600 block of North Stewart Avenue. She also reported an assault on the same property from April 26. Reports were completed.

June 13

7:06 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a dog bite report. The victim was walking near the Sedalia Public Library and was reportedly bitten twice by a dog. Information for a report was collected.

7:58 p.m.: A truck was stopped near East Broadway Boulevard and Center Avenue for illegal window tint. The driver/registered owner did not have proof of insurance, and state charges for failure to maintain financial responsibility and illegal window tint are being sought.

11:13 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 17th Street regarding a possible burglary. They searched the property but the suspect had fled. The suspect was identified and information was gathered for a report.

11 p.m.: A theft was reported in the 1300 block of East 10th Street. The complainant reported more than $1,000 worth of makeup and beauty supplies were stolen from the trunk of her unlocked car.

June 14

6:37 p.m.: Officers responded to the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue in reference to a theft.

June 16

10:23 a.m.: A report was made regarding an iPhone 15 Pro Max that was stolen May 27. Information was collected and a report was generated.

12:54 a.m.: Officers were notified of a disturbance at a business in the 300 block of South Lamine Avenue. Information was given that someone had potentially brandished a firearm outside the bar. The involved parties left the scene in a vehicle.

Arrests

June 10

10:36 p.m.: Michael Evans, of Pettis County, was arrested after deputies and SPD officers were dispatched to the 24000 block of Randall Road in reference to a physical domestic disturbance. Evans was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail pending a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault.

June 15

10:17 p.m.: Trevor W. Noldner, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested for driving while intoxicated-prior offender. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.
