This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
8:35 a.m.: Alfredo Carlos, 27, of the 1500 block of South Grand Avenue, was arrested after an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with excessive window tint near West 20th Street and South Limit Avenue. Carlos had a revoked driving status and was issued a ticket for driving with a revoked license.
8:54 p.m.: Toby Holden Parker, 23, of Knob Noster, was arrested after being observed failing to stop at the stop sign at South Grand Avenue and West 16th Street. Parker had a suspended driving status, was transported to the police department and issued a uniform traffic ticket.
3:45 a.m.: Shane Stephen Ruth, 36, of the 1000 block of East 12th Street, was arrested after officers were dispatched to Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 E. 14th St., for a subject who had come in with a stab wound. A suspect, later identified as Ruth, was located near the 1300 block of South Fleming Avenue and placed under arrest. Charges of second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action have been forwarded to the Pettis County prosecutor.
2:46 a.m.: An officer patrolling the premises of a business in the 600 block of South Marshall Avenue observed a subject trespassing on the property. The suspect then fled on foot, and officers' attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful.
