This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
11:58 p.m.: Christol Parish, 45, of Joplin, was arrested after being observed drifting from side to side driving down West 32nd Street. A traffic stop near Wing Avenue and Plaza Avenue found Parish to be intoxicated. She was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw and then to the Pettis County Jail. A request for a charge of driving while intoxicated-drugs has been submitted to the prosecutor.
10:32 p.m.: Josephine Cordelia Merrick, 21, of the 400 block of North Grand Avenue, was arrested after an officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. It was determined Merrick had threatened other residents with a weapon and was arrested at the scene. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, booked and held for 24 hours pending charges of unlawful use of a weapon and fourth-degree domestic assault.
6:21 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 3600 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. The complainant said a Hispanic male subject came into the store and made a purchase. During the purchase, the man stole money. He has not been located at this time.
11:11 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to a theft report at a business in the 3900 block of West Ninth Street. A suspect stayed in the hotel for an extended amount of time and only paid part of the bill. Charges of felony stealing were submitted to the state prosecutor.
11:30 a.m.: David J. Tuttle, 31, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was arrested in Saline County for felony possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Saline County Detention Center and released.
