This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 28

9:21 p.m.: Laquisha D. Miller, 46, was cited after officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Second Street and South Ohio Avenue for a subject check. They identified a subject and issued her a summons for littering.

June 2

3:55 p.m.:Brandon Lee Paxton, 31, of the 1300 block of South Lamine Avenue, was arrested after officers were dispatched to a domestic assault. They were able to determine a primary aggressor and Paxton was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of third-degree assault.

Incidents

May 28

10:56 a.m.: An officer spoke with a man in the SPD lobby regarding a debit card theft in the 300 block of East Saline Street.

2:30 p.m.: A female from the 400 block of East Boonville Street came into the SPD lobby to report a credit card was opened in her name. A report was completed.

May 30

2:33 p.m.: A female came into the SPD lobby to report a bike had been stolen from her property in the 600 block of West 15th Street.

May 31

8:01 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the SPD lobby for a reported vehicle theft that occurred in the 1100 block of South Ohio Avenue. They identified a suspect and gathered information for a report.

4:51 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East 26th Street in reference to a vehicle theft. They were able to identify a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.

June 1

7:14 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to Vermont Park, 1400 S. Vermont Ave., in reference to a disturbance. They gathered the information to generate a report.

7:48 p.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard in reference to a counterfeit bill being used. The officers spoke with the reporting party and collected the bill.

June 2

10:08 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to a business in the 3200 block of South Limit Avenue in reference to a theft. They documented two stolen pole covers in a theft report.

June 3

2:40 a.m.: Officers responded to a business in the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard for an alarm. Damage was discovered, but no entry was made into the business. The value of the damage was estimated at $400. A report was made of the incident and no suspect has been located.

Arrests

May 31

3:06 p.m.: Jason A. Wilson, 40, of Excelsior Springs, was arrested in Pettis County for unlawful possession of a firearm and felony possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). He was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

3:06 p.m.: Travis E. Millsap, 44, of Windsor, was arrested in Pettis County for felony possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and a misdemeanor Henry County warrant. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

3:17 p.m.: Bryan K. Collins, 52, of Warsaw, was arrested in Benton County for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was transported to the Benton County Jail and released.

9:06 p.m.: Morgan E. Fante, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested in Pettis County for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail and released.

June 1

5:03 p.m.: Chance W. Jones, 51, of Sunrise Beach, was arrested in Morgan County for third-degree domestic assault. He was transported to the Morgan County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.

7:52 p.m.: Julie A. Keating, 58, of Russellville, was arrested in Morgan County for speeding and driving while intoxicated. She was transported to the Morgan County Jail and released.
