Illinois man hurt in Pettis accident
Ethan T. Haege, 20, of St. Libory, Illinois, sustained minor injuries at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday in a Pettis County accident.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Haege was driving south on U.S. Highway 65 in a 2017 Chevrolet when he swerved into the northbound lane to avoid an uninvolved vehicle and was struck by a 2022 Freightliner driven by Todd B. Owen, 51, of Sweet Springs.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Haege was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by MSHP Cpl. Gates.
