Three women in serious condition after Benton County accident

Anita J. Mason, 49, of Hermitage; Katelynn A. Wheeler, 18, of Cross Timbers; and Susan L. Hankins, 58, of Cross Timbers, sustained serious injuries at 2:22 p.m. Monday in a Benton County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mason was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado south on state Route 7 at West Dam Access Road and attempted to make a left turn. She failed to yield to approaching traffic and was struck by a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Converse driven by Hankins.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported by MU Air and Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia.

Windsor man hurt in Johnson accident

Travis C. Berney, 34, of Windsor, sustained minor injuries at 5:54 a.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Berney was driving a 2019 Freightliner north on state Route WW when he traveled off the right side of the road. He over-corrected and the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned.

Berney was wearing a seat belt and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Two from Whiteman AFB hurt in Johnson County collision

A 15-year-old boy and Cornelius F. Browdy, 34, both of Whiteman Air Force Base, suffered minor injuries at 12:15 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Hannah L. Stapley, 24, of Whiteman AFB, was eastbound on state Route DD and was following a 2017 Chevrolet Impala driven by Browdy, which stopped for an uninvolved vehicle making a left turn. The Camry struck the rear of the Impala.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Two in serious condition after Johnson County accident

Dallas P. Sheets, 24, of Concordia, and Rachel M. Bowlin, 45, of Knob Noster, sustained serious injuries at 135 p.m. Friday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Bowling was in a blue 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 16-year-old male from Knob Noster who pulled across the northbound lanes of traffic and entered the path of a silver 2021 Nissan Versa driven by Sheets.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt. The injured were transported by Johnson County Ambulance District to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Knob Noster woman in serious condition after Johnson accident

Bethany J. Welch, 41, of Knob Noster, sustained serious injuries at 726 p.m. Monday in a Johnson County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Welch was driving a 2019 Ram 1500 north on Route MM when she traveled off the right side of the roadway, causing the vehicle to strike a culvert and become airborne. The vehicle then overturned, ejecting the driver.

She was not wearing a seat belt and was transported by Life Flight to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

California man injured in Moniteau County motorcycle accident

Denver D. Collins, 61, of California, suffered moderate injuries at 12:44 p.m. Saturday in a Moniteau County accident.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Collins was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson XL 1200 L south on state Route 87 when he struck a deer. The vehicle overturned and Collins was ejected.

He was wearing a helmet and was transported to Saint Mary's Hospital in Kansas City by Mid-Mo Ambulance District.
