This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. Information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Arrests

May 21

12:55 a.m.: Donald R. Knox Jr., 32, of the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested after a traffic stop near South Quincy Avenue and West 10th Street. A passenger of the vehicle attempted to flee and fought officers in his attempt. Knox was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold pending a charge of resisting arrest.

Incidents

May 20

7:38 a.m.: Officers were dispatched for a report of theft from a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Missouri Avenue. They gathered information from the victim and a report was completed.

11:19 a.m.: Officers took a report of theft in the 1800 block of South Vermont Avenue. A report was completed.

11:25 a.m.: An officer took a theft report in the SPD lobby originating in the 1600 block of South Kentucky Avenue. The subject wanted to report his vehicle was broken into, tampered with, stolen and returned the previous night from his residence.

7:14 p.m.: Officers took a dog bite report from the 500 block of West Main Street. A dog arrived with an unknown subject, reportedly exited the vehicle through the window, bit a female subject and her dog, then reportedly jumped back into the same vehicle with the unknown subject and left.

8:07 p.m.: Officers investigated property damage in the 1800 block of South Beacon Avenue. According to the property owner, someone trespassed on his property, causing approximately $100 in damage. A report was completed.

Arrests

May 20

6:58 p.m.: Richard A. Rohr, 52, of Tipton, was arrested in Moniteau County for operating without a valid license and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway. He was transported to the Moniteau County Jail.

11:41 p.m.: Chassity L. Yeokum, 39, of Versailles, was arrested in Morgan County for driving while intoxicated - alcohol and failure to maintain the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident. She was released.
